FUNDAY FRIDAY!!!

There has been an awful lot of talk about this little camera and I felt it was time to show it off! As a photographer who loves taking detail shots, I took this opportunity to challenge myself with different angles on just one subject.

Life has been really busy, maybe a bit too busy but its simple projects like these that keep me going and remind me of finding the beauty in little things. To celebrate a great day, Stephen and I will be heading to upper park for a hike, I cannot wait! I feel like this whole week I have been stuck inside and its time to enjoy the beauty God has given us.

Stay tuned for our next rendition of FUNDAY FRIDAY and please stop by our facebook page here and leave a comment of the projects your doing!

East London shop shutters painted by Eine
I’ve been invited to give a PechaKucha style presentation next week and in the five minute slot I’ll be running through the Type Worship’s journey and some of my work. I’ll be covering some of the designers and artists that have inspired me and have been collecting together some materials. I came across this brilliant photograph capturing Ben Flynn’s work (aka Eine), which was one of the original things that got me started.

THIS SHIT THAT TOOK ME HUNDREDS OF WORDS, HUNDREDS OF LAYERS, and 10 STRAIGHT HOURS to finish.

Bruno Mars typography art portrait done for Design Workshop 2, project before final plate. 100% done in Adobe Illustrator. Portrait made of pure words/text individually warped to shape the subject’s face.

Yet another meetup in the City. This time at SPiN New York, this neat ping pong social club on East 23rd. Once again meet an awesome group of people, played some ping pong, and took more photos.

Iconic on Flickr.
I remember walking past this wall and seeing the side of a decaying building. Now it’s an impressive work of art. A group of large murals have been popping up along the High Line in recent weeks and they’re all very well done. This one is the most colourful that I’ve seen so far. It’s a much more pleasant image to look at rather than another billboard with an advertisement for something I have no interest in.
